He was addressing a press conference here on Wednesday in connection with the three-day Entrepreneurial Summit (TES), 2008 to be held here from December 16.
Announcing the details of the TES 2008, Mr Pradeep Kar, President, TiE (Bangalore) said the summit will focus on new areas such as manufacturing, real estate, media and entertainment to create an environment for preparing entrepreneurs to meet the global challenges.
TES 2008, said to be the largest in Asia, is expected to attract more than 1,400 delegates and 100 speakers. The meet will provide a platform for entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, academia, industry, thought leaders and other stakeholders from various industries, Mr Kar said.
Mr Ravi Narayan, TES 2008-Chairperson, said the theme of TES 2008 is “inclusive entrepreneurship.” He said more than 30 entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and thought leaders including Prof. C K Prahalad, Mr Carl Schramm of the Kauffman Foundation, Mr Nandan Nilekani (Infosys) Ms Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Biocon, Mr Apurv Bagri, Chairman TiE and Prof Martin Haemic, Stanford University are some of the key speakers.
