Satyam Computer secures SAP implementation order in Oman...

Country's fourth largest software exporter Satyam Computer Services today said it has bagged a SAP implementation contract from an Oman-based firm.

The multi-module deployment would help Oman-based Khimji Ramdas LLC (KR) standardise, automate business processes, Satyam Computer Services said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

However, the financial details of the contract were not available.

The implementation features numerous SAP modules, including finance, controlling, sales and distribution.

The contract is evidence of Satyam's growing operations in Oman, the filing added.

Satyam, which entered into a partnership with SAP earlier this year, said that in Oman the company's SAP implementation orders have tripled since March.

"By simplifying complex technology-driven SAP implementations for leading Middle Eastern enterprises, Satyam contributes to the growth of individual businesses and the economy of the region as a whole," Head of Satyam's SAP competency unit Manish Mehta said.

Shares of the company were trading at Rs 367.50, down 9.61 per cent on the BSE.
